Daniel Caruana

“I worked in IT for over ten years and was in systems administration for companies including Sapient and Time Inc. I was with Brennan IT when I saw that Dad was having trouble keeping on top of the volume of work, and I decided to come on board. That meant swapping suits for shovels and learning the business from the ground up – literally. On my first day I came home covered in dirt… from head to toe.”

A passion for knowledge

Daniel loved superheroes when he was a kid, and he has a few secret identities of his own. He earned his waterproofing licence after a few years with Danrae – then completed business programs, and then a full MBA at Charles Sturt University. He even found time to do a barista’s course between studying and running the company.

“I have a hunger for knowledge. And I love seeing people develop to their full potential.”  And that’s one reason why Danrae staff have access to training to further their careers – and build Danrae’s skill sets.

Creative customer solutions

Daniel believes in customer solutions. “We wouldn’t be here without our customers – and my whole career has been about service. From IT, I learnt a lot about urgency, and how to get the most out of minimal resources. Now it’s always fulfilling to see a job done, and a client over the moon – especially when we’ve solved a long-standing issue.”

Ultimately, Daniel is an inspirational CEO who loves a challenge. “I’m interested in building client relationships and taking our business to the next level. When I see a large-scale job that I know we can provide a solution for, that’s exciting.”
